Week of Fun

I used to have a blog back in college but when I left A&M, I left that there as well. Life is definitely different than it was then and I am more than happy to leave that all behind there!

I decided to be spontaneous (which I never am) and went to visit my friend Amy that moved away from Texas a year ago. She is from Minnesota and she now lives there again. It was so nice to see her. I haven't talked to her much during the year but I definitely remember why we are friends! I missed her more than I knew. The word outgoing would be an understatement to describe Amy's personality. She is probably one of the most fun, craziest person I know. My favorite part of the trip was just sitting back relaxing and catching up on things. She is a riot to talk to. We did some fun stuff too. We went to the mall of America which was huge. I think its a little hyped up but if you had kids, they would absolutely love it. The theme park is nice. I really enjoyed trying all sorts of restaurants that we don't have in Houston. My favorite was Chino Latino, a crazy mexican/asian/carribbean place. Sounds weird but it was very good. It was quite different there. Everyone is very active and always walking around everywhere downtown. Its just too stinkin' hot to do that here!! I'm really glad I decided to go even if I probably should have saved my money. How many chances will I have to do that again?? That's what I'm saying a least to justify it! :)

My younger cousins are in town this week. My mom and I drove to Angelton on Friday to pick them up. They are such sweeties. Taylor is 15 and Ethan is 13. I remember them as babies and its so weird seeing them as teenagers with wardrobes and makeup! I just saw them at Christmas time but I couldn't believe how grown up they looked after 6 months time. Time really flies!
Here's a picture of Taylor and I at Christmas time at the ballet...

Saturday was such a fun day! I really enjoyed the drive up to the track to see Jeromy experience his first track day. It was so nice to talk and laugh and get to know Vicki more. Thanks for taking me with you, Vicki! :) Track day was extremely HOT!! At one point, we had to go sit in the car just to feel some AC, hehe. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little glad it didn't excite him all that much only because it made me nervous watching him! Especially after we watched another guy crash! It was scary and my initial reaction was panic but he was ok. It was nice to just be there and support Jeromy in his interests. He said he was very appreciative that I came to watch.

My favorite picture :)

Reading over everything I've written and looking at the pictures I've posted just show me how blessed I am and that I should always be grateful for what's in front of me right now!!
